Fall is a time when the days are shorter and the temperatures gradually drop. The air also becomes more, which means your skin will lose much needed moisture. Add to this the damage that the sun ( I love the sun) and even salt & pool water might have done to your skin during the summer months. Fall is the time to get your moisture on and don’t forget to exfoliate!
Check out one of our tips for fabulous fall skin.
Switch to creamy body wash. Ditch the super fragrant, over scented soaps and shower gels. They contain loads of alcohol ( okay maybe not loads but too much for my taste). You can make your own body wash with a few simple ingredients. Here’s one of my favorite creamy body wash recipes.
Shea Butter & Vanilla Body Wash
¼ cup shea butter
1/8 cup aloe vera gel
1/8 cup grapeseed oil
1 tsp xanthan gum
1 cup castile soap
20 drops vanilla essential oil
Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add Shea butter to glass measuring cup or mason jar and place in the pot of boiling water ( to create double boiler action). Once the Shea butter melts, add the aloe vera gel and grapeseed oil. Remove the melted butter and oil from the heat and add castile soap and essential oil.
Put your lil’ creation in a glass or plastic jar with a pump ( glass is better).
That’s it. That’s all. Eazy Peezy.
Enjoy and let me know what think! Send me an email if you have a hard time finding any of the ingredients. I'm just a click away.
